I hope to keep an upodated high-quality, high-yield bookmark list here -- not the biggest, just the best! By the way, I check out literally every new site I notice, but only my favorites (the ones I return to) ever make this list!
Cultural resource management (CRM) is generally archaeology (or historic preservation of other forms such as architectural analysis) performed as a result of a regulation such as Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act. Archaeological CRM seeks to identify and evaluate archaeological sites that are threatened by development and to recover data from those sites which cannot be saved.
Industrial Insulators and Insulating Forms are used in industry to insulate components, piping, and the like from temperature and accoustical effects. Pipe insulation and refrigeration unit insulating processes fit into this category as well as insulators designed to lessen reverberation and the exposure of components to vibrations.

"Angel Sanctuary" is a manga (Japanese comic series) by Kaori Yuki. It is very dark, gothic, violent, and disturbing, toying with many taboos, but it features amazing, beautiful art. The story focuses on Mudou Setsuna, the reincarnation of a female angel who went against God and was doomed to die a violent, agonizing death in each incarnation on Earth. Setsuna has problems with his life, including being the target of beatings at school, the fact that he is in love with his blood sister Sara, and his parents' separation. Setsuna becomes the focus of the struggle between angels and demons in which he must save humanity from God's punishment.

The region between the Idel (AKA Volga) river and the Ural mountains was not always an easternmost periphery of Europe. A thousand years ago, it was a prosperous centre of Eurasian cultures, extending trade links to Scandinavia as well as Persia. The city of Bolgar could rival with any western European capital, and its splendour amazed Arab travellers like Ibn Fadlan, who was one of the first Muslim missionaries at the Bolgar court in 922. Bolgar had been founded by the descendants of the notorious Huns, who converted into Islam and balanced between the declining Khazar state and the ascending Viking federation that ultimately became Russia.
Thus the Middle Idel region remained mainly Islamic and non-Russian, and whenever there was a major revolt against Russian colonial rule, the Tatars were joined by the Chuvash, Bashkir, Cheremish (Mari), Mordva and other nations.
In 1917, these nations of the Idel-Ural region founded a common state called Idel-Ural with 14-15 million inhabitants, of whom less than a third part were ethnic Russians. They aspired for autonomy, but were suppressed by the Bolsheviks next year. Soviet Russia applied now the well-known strategy of "divide and rule": instead of a single entity, stretching all the way to the Caspian Sea and bordering to Turkestan, as would have been natural and justified, the region was split into half a dozen different autonomous republics.
The Idel-Ural State is a unique example of solving a national issue on the principles of democracy and human rights. When the national minorities and the autonomous republics of the Russian federation were allowed again to search for their identity and political interests, the idea of a common Idel-Ural federation was reborn!

Many users of the directory will not be familiar with English geography. You should briefly note the location of the club: naming the town (unless it is part of the site title) and county is usually sufficient. It is helpful to mention the fact if your club includes a section for Masters swimming, synchronised swimming or other speciality not catered for by the majority of swimming clubs. Likewise mention if you take non-swimmers and teach basic stroke techniques. If your club is known locally by initials you should include these in brackets after the site title unless they are mentioned elsewhere in the title or description. |
This category acts as a destination for duplicates of swimming club web sites that I have found and forwarded to some other category in which I do not have editing rights.
In theory, I shouldn't find the same site again but, if the site remains unreviewed my tools can't tell its been found already and will find it for me again. When that happens I put it in this category (where my tools can see it) to prevent that happening again and again.
