Whether you call it "Shabbat" or "Shabbos", the Jewish Holy Sabbath, which is observed by Jews worldwide from sundown on Friday till sundown Saturday night, is a very special day with it's own unique practices, customs and observances. It commemorates the 7th day of creation, which was designated as a day of rest.
