Netscape Open Directory License ("NOD") FAQ:

What is the term of the NOD license? The term is perpetual and irrevocable (except for breach) provided you comply with the terms of the license agreement. Can I still use the Open Directory if Netscape discontinues the Open Directory? Yes. You retain the rights granted under the license subject to the specified terms and condition even if Netscape discontinues the Open Directory. Thus, provided you continue to comply with the terms of the license you retain a perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, royalty-free, fully paid-up, worldwide license to use, reproduce, modify and create derivative works from, and distribute and publish the Open Directory, in its then present form, and your derivative works thereof. What happens if I don't comply with the terms of the license? The rights granted under the license are automatically terminated, and you must immediately discontinue any and all uses of the Open Directory (including without limitation publication, distribution, and creating derivative works of the Open Directory).
