The film
Created with Raymond Briggs’ blessing, The Snowman and The Snowdog is the animated sequel to The Snowman which premiered on Channel 4 in 2012 on Christmas Eve. The sequel tells the story of Billy who moves into the house which features in the original story of The Snowman. Billy discovers a snowman-making kit under the floorboard of his bedroom and a brand new story begins! With a soundtrack by Andy Burrows and Ilan Eskeri, The Snowman and The Snowdog is a lively and joyful adventure which includes a flight scene over iconic London landmarks and an exciting downhill race at the North Pole.
The book
Based on the critically acclaimed animated sequel, a book of the film was published by Puffin in 2015, bringing words to the story for the first time. The enchanting book reunited readers with the Snowman and introduced them to an adorable new puppy-friend, The Snowdog.
